46th National Day Observance Ceremony @ Ah Hood Gardens

More than 200 residents of different ethnic, young and not so young together with students from Balestier Hill Secondary and Balestier Primary Schools held the 46th National Day Observance Ceremony at Ah Hood Gardens. Transport Minister, RADMR Lui Tuck Yew graced the event and reviewed the Guards of Honour which was formed by the Balestier Hill Secondary School's NPCC. Balestier Hill Secondary School Band provided the National Anthem and played to songs to entertain the residents. Balestier Hill Primary School's students presented a Wu Shu Demonstration and a Cultural Dance to entertain the residents.

Rabbit Lunar New Year Celebrations

Some 130 residents of different ethnic group celebrates the Rabbit Lunar New Year together. Both the young and the not so young enjoyed a "Kentucky Chicken" meal before participating in various games put up by the RC. Highlight of the night were the Best dress Competitions for Children and Senior Citizens.

Family Sports Day 2010

At our Annual Family Sports Day, more than 120 residents from different ethnic groups had a fun filled Sunday morning, competiting vigourously against their neighbours and friends in the various sport games put up by the untiring working committee led by Yeow Meng.

Adviser, RADM. Lui Tuck Yew was the Guest of Honour of the event and seen here (top most photo) mingle with residents.

More than 120 residents celebrated the Chinese Lunar New Year on 13 March 2010. Highlights included peeling of mandarin ogranges and forming of a Chinese Character, Adults and Children Best Dress Competitions, Matching Games to test your memories.

Christmas Party 2009

Almost 200 residents, young and old of different ethic celebrated Christmas on 19 December 2009.
Highlight of the evening was the Best Dress Contest for Children and various games prepared by our coordinator Ms Doreen Lim and her team. Residents had an enjoyable evening.

Block Party Cum Senior Citizens Celebrations

More than 150 residents participated in the Block Party Cum Senior Citizens Celebrations on 29 November 2009. For the first time we do away with lucky draws but had a bingo games where almost 90% or participants won a prize. Residents enjoyed the western food package too.

Visit to Hollywood Dino with Moulmein

Some forty residents joined the more than 200 Moulmein residents visited the Dino Park at Jurong Birds Park on Sunday, 13 December 2009. Residents young and old had a good time seeing replicas of Dinosaurs.

Clap @ Pek Kio Cum Senior Citizen Celebrations

More than 170 residents celebrated Senior Citizen Week on Sunday 30 November 2009. 2 buses were chartered to bring the residents to enjoy the cultural shows put up at Pek Kio Market from 9.00am to 11.00am. The residents had lunch at the Block 106 void deck and the event ended with Bingo Games where more than 100 prizes were given out.

Latern Festival 2009

Our Adviser, RAmdr. Lui Tuck Yew joined more than 150 residents to celebrate the Lantern Festival on Saturday, 26 September 2009. Highlights included the Chinese Lantern Quiz which were educational and the Art Competition that test the creativity of our residents young and old in making the best moon cake box. Children were fascinated by the creative balloon figurine made by our very own young RC members.

44th National Day Observance Ceremony @ Ah Hood Gardens

More than 200 residents and students from Balestier Hill Secondary School (BHSS) celebrated the 44th National Day with an Observance Ceremony at our Estate on 9 August 09. Guest of Honour RAdmr Lui Tuck Yew was welcomed by Fanfare played by The School Band from BHSS. He inspected the Guards of Honour formed by the NPCCs from Balestier Hill Secondary School.

Floor Party at Block 103

A Floor Party was held by residents living on level 2, 3 and 4 of Block 103 on Saturday evening 4 July 2009, some 20 residents and RC members attended the function. 5 families prepared home cooked food and everyone had a joyful evening.

Parents' Day Celebration Dinner 2009

On Saturday, 13 June 2009, 260 residents celebrated Parent's Day 2009 together. A 'sit down' dinner for 26 tables was arranged at the Void Deck of Block 106. Our MP, RAdmr Lui Tuck Yew, despite his heavy schedule, in fact he had just came back from an official visit to Malaysia, graced the occasion. Besides the sumptuous dinner, there were many games with prizes and a lucky draws lined up for participating residents.
