More than 200 residents of different ethnic, young and not so young together with students from Balestier Hill Secondary and Balestier Primary Schools held the 46th National Day Observance Ceremony at Ah Hood Gardens. Transport Minister, RADMR Lui Tuck Yew graced the event and reviewed the Guards of Honour which was formed by the Balestier Hill Secondary School's NPCC. Balestier Hill Secondary School Band provided the National Anthem and played to songs to entertain the residents. Balestier Hill Primary School's students presented a Wu Shu Demonstration and a Cultural Dance to entertain the residents.
